International Ethiopia General Election Observers have reported that Ethiopia’s seventh general election was largely conducted in accordance with established electoral procedures, although excessive crowding at polling stations created operational challenges and extended voting times in many locations.
The preliminary findings were presented by observer missions from the African Union (AU) and the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) during a joint press briefing following election day monitoring activities.
